frames
Note that FRAMES are not included in the painting price. There is a possibility to have the painting with a frame of your choice.
Please bear in mind that there will be an additional cost for the frame which will be communicated it to you once it has been evaluated by the framer.
A receipt will be provided to you once the frame has been fitted and sent to you digitally via email/message, while the paper version will be placed in the box together with the painting prior to shipping.
In the process of framing, packaging and delivering the painting, you will be updated at every step with photos and advice, where preferred.
Framing service is provided by Aram Picture Framing (Chiswick, London).
authenticity
A Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is a document which determines an artwork is authentic and created by the the artist who sells it.
All artworks sold via Jo Matei Art website are accompanied by a COA, hand-signed by the artist and embossed with the artist's logo.
The COA is a fundamental document that should always accompany the artwork. The COA is the key to a successful re-sale of the artwork, recognition in a catalog or other transactions.
personalised orders
Custom orders are accepted, please get in touch. Your preferences will be discussed and how these can be met.
If the painting is for a loved one or a friend and you'd like to have it delivered as a gift, there is the possibility for it to be packaged according to the occasion.
Get in touch at info@jomateiart.com or by specifying your request in the Custom Text Field (you will find this in the Virtual Gallery, next to the artwork description).
packaging
All the artworks are packaged with extreme care. As a standard approach, three layers are used to protect the painting: acid-free paper, bubble wrap and a strong cardboard box.
Boxes are provided with a Fragile sticker which can easily be spotted during handling procedures.
care of the artwork
Once you will receive the painting at home/office, kindly follow these general guidelines that will help you take care of your new artwork to ensure a long and healthy life:

Please make sure that you clean your hands before handling the painting.

Never hang your painting outdoors, in areas of high humidity or near any heat source.

Do not place anything on top of the canvas or lay your canvas with the front facing down.

Never use any chemical cleaners to clean the painting. Any dust can be removed with a dry cloth and not applying any pressure on the canvas surface.
return and refund
No refunds accepted once the artwork has been agreed upon and delivered, except in the case it arrives at your home damaged in any way. Kindly provide proof of the damage (send an email with photos at info@jomateiart.com).

Send items back within: 30 days of delivery.
In case of damages to the artwork during the delivery process, Jo Matei Art will ensure the return fee is covered. Please get in touch as soon as possible to initiate the procedure.
shipping
Kindly allow 1–3 business days for dispatching. You will be informed once the item has been dispatched.
In case of framing, dispatching times may be longer, however you will be informed every step of the way.
The artwork is shipped anywhere in the world. Kindly allow some time for the artwork to arrive at your home. According to the place in which you live, the approximate time will be communicated to you.
